Top planning tips for a visit to Disneyland Paris

So you’ve only got one day at Disneyland Paris? No problem!

Searching for Disneyland Paris top tips? Here you’ll find our five top tips on how to make the most of the time you have at Disney.

1. Grab your FASTPASS’s

Spend less time waiting in line for popular attractions or entertainment and more time exploring the magic! Disney’s FASTPASS service allows you to obtain a time slot for certain rides. This means you can return during the given time slot and go through a special line that skips the regular queue. You can only get one FASTPASS at a time so choose your attractions wisely! To make the most of your FASTPASS it’s best to get these for the most popular or newer rides. These tend to have the biggest queues so will save you time in the long run. We recommend Space Mountain, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Haunted Mansion & Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!

2. Do your research

If you know you want to meet your favourite characters it’s a good idea to have a look and make sure you know exactly where they’re going to be and at what time that day. If you don’t do your research you might end up missing them! Disneyland publish the character meeting times around a week in advance so you’ll be able to check the schedule before you arrive. You can find it here.

3. Don’t forget to eat

If you’re a keen diner and want to squeeze in a meal at one of the popular restaurants during your visit then be sure to book ahead. This way you’ll guarantee to satisfy your taste buds at your chosen eatery. You can easily make dining reservations through Disney directly. If you have no preference then there are plenty of quick service food and beverage locations you can pop in to instead. Grabbing a quick bite to eat will save you time you could use for all those important attractions instead! For a tasty quick eat grab yourself a hot dog at Casey’s Corner on Main Street or fish and chips at Toad Hall Restaurant in Fantasyland.

4. Shop ’til you drop

We know how much some of you love to shop and if you love all things Disney you will be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of Disney memorabilia on offer in the merchandise stores! Anything you can think of, they will have it. If you want to miss the crowds then hit the stores early morning or during the day when the parades are happening.

5. Grab that perfect spot

I’m sure everybody’s heard of the fantastic finale Disney put on show every day as the park closes. Disney Illuminations is a spectacular display of fireworks lighting up the sky – Not to be missed! You’ll want to ensure you get a good spot for this so we recommend you start gathering in your chosen location around 30 minutes before the show is due to start. The park gets very busy during this time and whilst you’ll likely have a good view from all areas of the park, if you want those beautiful photographs with Sleeping Beauty’s Castle in the foreground you’ll have to think ahead! We recommend you aim for the Central Plaza directly in front of the castle for prime viewing.

So if you’re short on time and want to squeeze in as much as possible during your trip then follow our handy tips to get the most out of your visit.
